Russel Sydenham, master potter, was born on a Motor Torpedo Boat in Poole Harbour.
He has been potting now for around 35 years and began an apprenticeship at Poole Pottery in 1968.
During the 1970s he worked with his father on Green Island, Poole where they made salt glaze pottery together.
In 1986 he set up a studio near Dorchester, Dorset and where he is now based.
Russel's glazed stoneware mugs are
handthrown and desigend to our specifications.
They are fired to 1200c and are very strong.
